BluePrint Agency was founded in June 2020 by Shayla Powell with a vision to create a safe, empowering, and healing-centered space for women and families impacted by trauma and systemic oppression. From its beginning, the agency has been dedicated to addressing the deep wounds left by abuse, generational trauma, and the barriers created by racism, sexism, poverty, and other forms of inequity.
At BluePrint, we understand that trauma is more than an event — it can shape how people see themselves, their relationships, and their future. Trauma often leaves lasting effects such as anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and cycles of instability that feel impossible to break. For women, these challenges are often intensified by systemic injustices that limit access to resources, safety, and opportunity.
BluePrint Agency was created to respond to these realities. We walk alongside women as they navigate their healing journeys, providing tools, guidance, and community support that foster resilience, stability, and growth.
Our mission is to provide the necessary tools to enable women to overcome and conquer obstacles. We do this by offering counseling, life coaching, wellness, and resources & referrals. Through these services, we empower women to reclaim their voices, rebuild their lives, and design stronger futures for themselves and their families.
Since our founding in 2020, BluePrint Agency has grown into a trusted resource within Will County and surrounding communities. We have supported women and families in overcoming obstacles, restoring their sense of self-worth, and building stronger futures.
In addition to our main office, BluePrint Agency proudly operates a satellite location in New Lenox, expanding access to counseling, support, and resources for women and families in surrounding communities. This location provides a convenient and welcoming space for clients to access services closer to home.
Our impact extends beyond individual services. Through outreach, education, and partnerships with local organizations, we strengthen the community’s response to trauma and advocate for equity and systemic change. Looking ahead, our commitment remains the same: to continue expanding services, addressing barriers, and walking alongside women as they build their own blueprints for success.
